Troy Lee Designs - D4 Composite Lowrider Helmet (MTB)

Troy Lee Designs - D4 Composite Lowrider Helmet (MTB)

Always Evolving. Built with an aerospace shell design and materials, we were able to get the D4 Composite helmet to 1050 grams without sacrificing any strength. Mips® C2 protection system is used to add an additional layer of safety in the event of a fall. For comfort, the D4 Composite routes cooling air through a front air intake system that flows through the polymer center and power grid side mesh keeping your head cooler during the ride. X-static® and XT2® anti-microbial/anti-odor padding keep the inside of the helmet a much nicer place to be.

Specifications: It adds mips® c2 rotational impact brain protection system for confidence when terrain changes or the pace picks up. You get 20 high-flow intake and exhaust ports for maximum ventilation for confidence when terrain changes or the pace picks up. There’s added eps and new headform shape for improved impact performance for confidence when terrain changes or the pace picks up. Engineered with full incremental sizing for greater range of fitment for confidence when terrain changes or the pace picks up. The design emphasizes Magnajust visor, helping the helmet feel cool, quiet, and secure over longer rides.

Why We Like It:

Feels dialed once it’s on, stable on the move, clear vision, and no hot spots while the day stretches out. On punchy climbs and rough descents it stays quiet so you can breathe and pick cleaner lines. You get the TLD blend of sharp looks and real function, th...

Why It’ll Work for You:

This helmet solves the usual hang‑ups: a fit that dials quickly, cooling you can feel at lower speeds, and impact management tuned for both straight‑on and off‑angle hits. If you’re new to the category, think of it as a simple upgrade in safety and comfort - easy to clean, easy to maintain, and shaped to work with goggles or sunglasses without fuss. It’s a practical, high‑coverage option for daily riding and bigger weekends when pace and terrain change.
